Simple dessert made from strawberries, blueberries and whipped cream. The berries are marinated in a Grand Marnier and preserve mixture to create a delicious summer treat!
Ingredients
- 1½ cup strawberries quartered
- 1½ cup blueberries
- 1 shot Grand Marnier
- 1½ tbsp preserves
- whipped cream
Instructions
- Heat small pan on high heat. Once the pan is hot add the Grand Marnier. Then add the preserves to the pan. Reduce to medium heat and stir for two minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.
- In a bowl combine your quartered strawberries, blueberries, and Grand Marnier mixture. Let it marinate for at least two hours but ideally overnight in the fridge.
- Serve in large bowl or individual ramekins. Top with a dollop of whipped cream.
Notes
**Warning**: alcohol may flame up when added to hot pan. If this happens, remove pan from heat source until the flame is gone, then place back on the stove.
Preserves: use any jam or jelly you have at home. Honey would be another great alternative.
Grand Marnier: can be substituted with brandy or triple sec.
