Beer Battered Cod
This beer batter recipe is great to have in your repertoire. Serve this beer battered fish along side french fries for fish and chips or inside a taco for baja style fish tacos.
vegetable, corn, peanut, safflower, canola
In a large bowl, whisk all dry ingredients together. Once well combined add in the egg whites and beer. Whisk until well incorporated.
Heat the oil between 350-375°F.
Pat the cod dry. Lightly coat the cod in flour. Dip the cod into the beer batter until fully coated. Fry in oil for 5 minutes, or until the beer batter is golden brown.
Cod can be substituted for rock fish, tilapia or salmon.
